Bongo living

When one looks at life’s great tapestry
And balks at its immensity
Insanity and vanity
And shocking inhumanity
Knavery and slavery
And corporate mendacity
And find ones self along the path to full exasperacity

But No!

One must stop! And draw back from the brink
One must neither feel helpless or hapless or glum
For when markets go crashing and governments slashing
There’s nothing
No nothing
No honestly nothing
Nothing that can beat a little bongo drum
Nothing that can beat a little bongo drum

Tippy tappy tip tap tip tap tap
Tippy tappy tip tap tip tap tap
Tippy tappy tip tap tip tap tap
Everybody’s beating on a bongo drum

Down in the caravan late at night
The moon and the stars such a wonderful sight
Far from the din and electric hum
Only thing is missing is a bongo drum

Fella in a yurt with a bongo drum

He’s got a friend and the friend’s got a chum
And they’re all get together with a bongo drum

Tippy tappy tippy tappy tip tap tap

Look there’s a freegan sitting in a skip
Getting out the goodies a‘for it goes to the tip
Edemami beans then a pie then a plum
Next thing you know it’s a bongo drum

There’s a freegan freaking out with a bongo drum?
Freegan freaking out with a bongo drum

Vicar in the pulpit talking to the flock
Handing out the vino looking at the clock
Soon in the vicarage having lots of fun
Banging with the bishop on a bongo drum!

Banging with the bishop on a bongo drum?
Banging with the bishop on a bongo drum!
